The main library of KLS GIT is named as "Library and Information Centre". The library is started with the inception of the GIT college in the year 1979. Since its inception serving to undergraduates, postgraduates, research scholars, faculty, and staff members. It has a collection over 1.10 Lakh volumes and over 32 Thousand titles which supports teaching, learning and research.

The entire collection has been bar-coded and automated by using the KOHA (Integrated Library Management Software). The Library offers many services to our patrons like book lending, Online Public Access Catalogue, Library Orientation, Inter Library Loan (DELNET), Government Book Bank, and Special Encouragement Scheme for Merit Students, News Paper Clipping and Selective Dissemination of Information etc.

The Library is a member of VTU Consortium for E-Resources. It is subscribed to National and International peer-reviewed e-Journals access through IEEE Xplore, Springer Nature, Elsevier-Science Direct, Emerald, Taylor and Francis, Knimbus (Remote Access) and Drillbit Plagiarism database. It has access to e-Books too. The Library enabled cloud-based remote access service to all VTU-Consortium E-Resources with the Knimbus platform to the institute.
