Book Stacking
The term 'Stacks' denotes the library bookshelves. The stacking system is designed to optimize space utilization for print materials. Books are arranged thoughtfully with proper lighting for easy reading and provisions for future library growth."
(Stacking Section is nothing but all the book racks arranged in the section or all the books are shelved in the section.)
AIM
The primary goal of the stacking section is to systematically organize and shelve the books with the help DDC (Dewey Decimal Classification) classification method.
POLICIES AND PROCEDURE OF THE SECTION
After completion of technical process, the books will be shelved on the designated racks as per the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) number.
Frequently, the misplaced books are cross checked and placed in the right place.
The damaged books are identified for the binding work and sent to binding half yearly.
Outdated, damaged and less used books are identified to weed out every year.

Ladders are available to reach the upper shelves.
